How is DHEA made?
DHEA is made naturally by the adrenal glands, two small organs that sit atop the kidneys. This natural production declines with age and certain illnesses. DHEA supplements are processed from Mexican Wild Yam. Extracts of Wild Yam undergo a six step engineering process where chemicals called sterols are extracted, and chemically spliced to create DHEA. K7 DHEA then undergoes a further process called “catalyzation” to increase its bioavailability to the body.
Is DHEA the same as HGH supplements?
No, HGH (or human growth hormone) supplements, while similar in usage, differ greatly from each other. DHEA is a hormone utilized by the body to make other hormones, while most HGH supplements are amino acid blends designed to stimulate the production of hormones such as DHEA. These products can be safely used together, but should not be confused with one another.
Who should take K7?
The list of people who can benefit from DHEA is nearly as long as the list of symptoms it is used to treat. Dieters, athletes, people who suffer from mood swings, poor sleep, and lack of concentration are most often the beneficiaries of DHEA supplementation. Some doctors prescribe DHEA for auto-immune diseases (lupus, AIDS, etc) though the exact effect on such diseases is still debated in the medical community. Most people take DHEA to compensate for the decreased levels produced by the body with age. DHEA has recently become much more popular with gym-trained athletes who report better recovery time and improved body composition indices since taking DHEA.
What benefits will I receive from taking DHEA?
The most common effects of DHEA supplements include an increase in lean body mass (and decrease in body fat percentage), improved sleep, and general feeling of well-being.
Over time, many DHEA users report improvements in skin tone and energy levels. DHEA is easily and efficiently transported through the bloodstream, and converted into essential hormones by the body. Bodybuilders take DHEA because it converts easily to testosterone without the risk of aromatization into estrogen. DHEA supplements are often used by post-menopausal women to relieve hot flashes and other related symptoms. Despite claims made by some, DHEA has not yet proven effective for treating ocular degeneration, or other sight-related conditions.
How do I know if K7will work for me?
The ingredients and manufacturing processes of K7 DHEA comply fully with the FDA’s GRAS list. Because DHEA is a naturally occurring compound, it is not directly regulated by the FDA. DHEA, in low-level doses, is generally accepted in the medical community to be safe, but certain groups of people should not take K7 or any other DHEA supplement. Young children, pregnant or lactating women, and people undergoing hormonal injections (such as used to treat dwarfism and hypogonadism) should not take DHEA. It is always wise to consult with your doctor or family physician before beginning any supplement usage. Women who suffer from hirsuitism should not take DHEA either. No person should exceed the recommended daily amount (2 capsules) of K7 without consulting a doctor.
Can I take K7 at the same time as other supplements?
K7 is safe to take in conjunction with other supplements such as weight loss, athletic nutritional supplements, HRT, and most prescription medications. If you are unsure about possible side effects when taken with a particular prescription medication, you should consult your prescribing physician before taking DHEA.
Does K7 have any side effects?
K7 is free of most side effects associated with medications and supplements. It is safely metabolized by the body, without the risk of liver toxicity. Ongoing medical studies have confirmed the safety of low doses of DHEA for adults. DHEA is not recommended for young children or people undergoing hormonal injections. Pregnant or lactating women should not take DHEA. A small minority of users report mild stomach discomfort in the first days of use. If this occurs, simply take K7 with food and the problem will subside.
There are no other known side effects from taking DHEA.
